I recently had an extension added to my house by Sandy and his team.  I was impressed with his honest approach from day 1 and am absolutely delighted with both the professionalism of the team and the quality of the final product.

I recently had a sunroom built by Sandy and his team. The service and advice I received was second to none and I am highly delighted with the finished sunroom in fact I would go as far to say that it exceeded all my expectations.

Why move house?

After searching for our dream home for almost a year we decided to contact Sandy Cochrane to see if we could alter our existing house to give us everything we ever wanted. Probably one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Once Sandy was on board we designed an extension to replace our existing conservatory with a spec to meet our every requirement. Don’t get us wrong....there were times when we thought “What on earth have we done ?” But thanks to an amazing team of builders who became part of our family over the many weeks of the build we’ve ended up with a better finished product than any of the show houses we visited. We’ve learned a lot about both building and ourselves over the last few months and can honestly say that we have absolutely NO REGRETS!! We would recommend Sandy Cochrane Builders without hesitation. Patio construction

Severe ceiling sag.

We have an old property with a large kitchen where the ceiling had a historic severe sag, Sandy came along and spent some time with us, giving his suggestions on the best way to tackle this issue. Sandy and his team duly carried out the remedial work required, we are extremely please with the end result. Sandy's guys were extremely pleasant and hard working, I would highly recommend Sandy's and his team and indeed have other works that we are looking to have them attend to.

Damp/wet solum ? Having spoken to several “experts” on this problem, Sandy came up with the most believable and practical solution to addressing the problem. Despite having to work below the floor in cramped conditions, Sandy’s guys (Tommy “the tunnel king” and Colin “the mole”) did a remarkable job clearing out debris and digging out/levelling the solum, installing a new DPM and then mechanically inject concrete to seal. With only three small access points (the floorboards remained intact), these guys moved all the materials & debris with the minimum of disruption. The guys turned up on time every day and left the site on good condition after each day. The tea bags & sugar did take a big hit though !!!! Overall, an excellent/professional job from a trustworthy and hard working builder – thanks Sandy, Tommy & Colin.

Bungalow Extension, Dunfermline

We decided to add a one and a half storey extension to our bungalow and after doing some local research contracted Sandy to do the job. From start to finish Sandy and his team were professional, helpful and straight forward to deal with. We stayed at home during the build and had anticipated this would cause problems (for us and them) but they were a pleasure to have around, any build issues which arose were managed quickly and efficiently. They made what was a difficult job (due to access restrictions and working on an old property) look easy. We are delighted with the quality of workmanship and end result and would not hesitate to ask Sandy to do further work for us. We have already recommended Sandy Cochrane Builders to others. New driveway

I got Sandy and his team to renew the decking, and driveway of my house, and I couldn't be happier with the result. They have totally transformed the look of the house. The attention to detail his team showed and the standard of work was excellent. I had no hesitation in recommending them to my sister. Thanks again Sandy.

Garden Work

Sandy and his team completely changed our back garden which has grass on a slope. A difficult job both Sandy and his team were a joy to have at our home every day whilst being perfectionists in the work they did they did so with a smile and many jokes. At no point did they rush even with weather delays such is the pride they take in the end result. My best mate came to see the end result and within an hour he tasked Sandy with a huge job on his own garden. Want a decent builder who is upfront and honest, that delivers his promises and that's standard of work is first class then look no further. Would use Sandy again and again.

Foundations

I would like to thank sandy and his team for doing an amazing job on the foundations for my little boys summer house. The job was done to very high standard and very quickly. The boys on your team were amazing they went out their way to make the work getting done as quick,clean and friendly as possible I m very pleased with the service they provided. I would have no hesitation recommending this company to all my family and friends. Can't thank the boys enough for making life a little happier for my son he is going to love it when it's finished. Thank you so so much a very pleased mummy and daddy.

I now have a new clay pantile roof on my cottage thanks to Sandy and his team. The work was done to a high standard and carried out in a professional manner. At the end of the contract there were a couple of snagging items which received immediate (next day) attention. I am very happy with the job done and would recommend this company without hesitation.

I first heard about Sandy Cochrane Builders through a recommendation and thought I would give them a shot. From the outset I found the service that I received excellent. I was getting my whole garden remodelled which was a big job but throughout the whole experience I felt that Sandy went the extra mile to make everything perfect for me, he even made me two plant pot holders. The workers that Sandy had with him were just as good and again always going that extra mile.
